Not some adaptation of beat writer William S. Burrough s fictitious narrative but a mix of biography and ~y interpretation of his drug- induced chirography processes combined with elements of his labor in this paranoid fantasy about Bill Lee, a scribbler who accidentally shoots his wife, whose typewriter transforms into a cockroach and who becomes involved in a recondite plot in an Islamic port called Interzone. Wonderfully incongruous, not unlike Burrough s books.
